Katy Lukehurst is a Registered Veterinary Nurse from Nottinghamshire UK, working in a first opinion and 24-hour emergency practice. Her nursing passion is with small mammals and reptiles, and she is her practice advocate for exotic species, especially rabbits. Having returned from maternity leave in January this year, she is raising her son alongside dogs, cats, rabbits, a tortoise, a terrapin, a bearded dragon, 3 chickens, and various fish. Before her career change into veterinary nursing, Katy worked with vulnerable adults and young people, including those with disabilities and mental health issues, and brings her experience in this field into her daily role in clinic.
