When domestic animals present to the clinic most of us will be aware of how to treat them in an emergency situation. When wildlife arrives, how many of us instantly forget our basic training, panic and can’t decide how to handle that species, never mind assess it? This presentation will help to give you more confidence in triaging your wildlife and exotic pet patients, enabling you to find a vein, set up an appropriate short-term enclosure, if and what to feed those patients and most importantly how to euthanase in the most humane way if this is the last option.
